Choose a scarf by thickness and texture

A lighter scarf sits neatly under a jacket, while a fuller knit can add volume over a coat. Compare the material, weight and texture for the way you will wear it, and check the product page for care instructions.

Three simple ways to wear it

For a loose drape, place the scarf behind your neck and let both ends fall in front; it works well with an open jacket or coat. For a Parisian knot, fold the scarf in half and drape it around your neck, with the loop on one side and both loose ends on the other. Pull the ends through the loop. You can also wrap it close to the neck and adjust the length until it sits comfortably.

Use proportion to finish the outfit

A short or light scarf can sit close to the neck with a simple jacket. A longer or fuller scarf gives you more fabric to arrange over a coat. For matching pieces, compare the scarf with men's accessories, then check each product page for the exact material and care details. Compare the scarf with men's beanies when you want another cold-weather layer.
